in the event of bloody sunday the ira used the crowd as human shields. watch the bloody sunday video on this site and you will see this REPUBLICAN video shows the crowd quiet clearly attacking the security forces. you can hear 3 shots fired and the forces ducking for cover before going on the offensive. what did you expect them to do. wait until one of em got killed before they returned fire

A Terrorist is someone who terrorises the community with no motivation and inflicts harm on civilians without batting an eyelid. But if you look into it at all you will find out that security forces moved people closer to the bomb than moving them away. Also note that no member of thwe RUC was killed or even injured.
In the case of bloody sunday there were no IRA volunters given orders to attack the security forces in Derry FACT. the people that attack the security forces were kids and all they had were bricks and bottles no exactly the same as opening fired on on them. Why did the paratroopers have so much ammunition that day some and well over three times the amount they were supposed to they chased people down alleys and shot them and then planted nial bombs on them.
